Hi All,
A quick update to let you know that I’ll be releasing a new mini-project towards the end of next week.
In this one we’re going to extend our shear force and bending moment calculator and build on a beam deflection calculator. So after this project our finished beam analysis notebook will churn out a nice deflected shape in addition to a shear force and bending moment diagram.
The numerical technique used for calculating the deflected shape is quite interesting and can actually be used on statically determinate and indeterminate beams alike.
So keep an eye out for that. I’ve a busy week or recording ahead but if all goes according to plan you’ll have this mini-project just in time for next weekend
