Hi all,
Another quick post just to say that I’ve added an update lecture to ’3D Space Frame Analysis using Python and Blender’.
The update lecture implements automatic self-weight calculation in the analysis. So, you can toggle self-weight on or off in your analysis. A relatively simple but very worthwhile addition. Similarly to the updates earlier in the week for Beam and Frame Analysis, I’ve also implemented individual member cross-sectional areas within the same lecture.
To avoid too much duplication, I won’t record this being implemented in the other stiffness method courses - after you’ve seen it once - you’ll be able to propagate it to your other codes without any trouble.
That’s likely to be it from me now until January. Enjoy the xmas wind down.
