Thank you for the course and the helpful advice. I’m writing to ask if you are familiar with the Bonsai (BlenderBIM) addon. My goal is to develop an addon that integrates with BlenderBIM to automatically calculate dead and live loads based on IFC data, considering material composition and space definitions. I also intend to contribute to the BlenderBIM open-source project by adding structural analysis features to this IFC authoring tool. This course has been a valuable first step in achieving these objectives, and I’m excited to move forward.
Hi @shivsanthoshd, I hope you enjoy the course. Yes I’m familiar with BonsaiBIM but I haven’t spend any time using it TBH. BIM is not a major focus for me at the minute, but from what I can tell it is a very exciting project that’s gaining traction, which is great. Completing this course will certainly be an excellent first step towards the goals you’ve outlined.
